Discovering the Power of Lean Agile Intelligence: My Journey to Head of Product Growth and Customer Success

As you may have read in my blog post https://solutionwolfe.com/thesolutiontea/next-job-opportunity I was on the market. To close the loop, I am no longer looking for my next gig! As I embark on my new role as head of product growth and customer success with Lean Agile Intelligence, I am thrilled to share my journey and the reasons behind my decision to join this extraordinary team. Lean Agile Intelligence is more than just a tool; it is a dynamic and adaptable solution that is shaping the future of business agility.

Unparalleled Scalability: A Testament to the Elegant Architecture

One of the first aspects that drew me to Lean Agile Intelligence was the application's superior scalability. This is a testament to the brilliance of the engineering department that I work closely with, including Scott Kiedeisch, lead architect and head of engineering, Prima Jenkins, integration engineer, Alejandro Rodriguez, user experience designer, and the rest of the amazing team! The sophisticated database design allows for impactful business relationships without any barriers, unlike many systems I've previously worked with.

In just one view, you can see how your organization is doing on your continuous improvement journey.

From that screen, in just one click you can drill down to see how each team is improving. If you are limited on your coaching staff, this is an excellent way to help make visible where you want to invest in coaches.

With Lean Agile Intelligence, scalability isn't just about customer usage; it's also a business perspective. This scalability facilitates easy integration, allowing us to grow and adapt to new opportunities seamlessly.

One reason I was also happy to join Lean Agile Intelligence is the automation and visibility of a lot of our metrics. Without giving away all the secret sauce, this is one of my favorite screens on the business side of the application.

Part of my job is to keep these bars growing! If you are liking what you are reading, feel free to help me out and sign up for a free trial 🙂

Accessibility and Ease of Use: Embracing Product-Led Growth

The low barrier to entry was another appealing feature of Lean Agile Intelligence. I was seeking a role where I could leverage product-led growth as a strategy without many obstacles, and Lean Agile Intelligence perfectly fits that vision. The user-friendly design encourages users to explore and utilize the platform to its fullest potential.

All you need is a display name, email, and password to try Lean Agile Intelligence. Brilliant.

Delivering Value with Minimal Setup: A Game Changer in Enterprise Product Management

The value delivered by Lean Agile Intelligence with minimal setup is truly remarkable. As a former product manager working with customer-facing enterprise systems like SCC's Genetics Information Systems Suite and Atlassian’s Jira Align, I was accustomed to products that took months to set up before the organization could really start using the application. This was often due to the sheer size and intricacies of those organizations, creating a puzzle-like challenge of fitting a square peg into a round hole, all while striving to minimize any friction or distractions that may hinder the end user's experience.. However, Lean Agile Intelligence has completely defied this convention. In many cases, organizations can be up and running in less than an hour, an achievement that is truly mind-blowing! I spoke with a customer last week that also could not believe they didn’t need to hire a partner to teach them how to use Lean Agile Intelligence. If you need coaches, we do have partners who can help you use the data to have conversations with leaders to drive real results for your organization. Lean Agile Intelligence is intuitive so that you don’t need a partner to set it up and use the application.

Working with Industry Leaders: An Opportunity for Growth and Innovation

Michael McCalla, the founder of Lean Agile Intelligence, is proving to be an incredible human to work for. His leadership style, which is far from micromanagement, reflects his extensive experience as an enterprise agile coach driving results for organizations that lead to meaningful change. Michael's resourcefulness and innovative approach, along with the remarkable level of automation that keeps the business running smoothly, have played a significant role in the success of Lean Agile Intelligence. Initially, Michael created Lean Agile Intelligence as a tool to showcase the value of his enterprise transformation coaching to organizations while working for himself as a consultant. His customers loved the tool, and that's when he realized the need to fill.

This product is built on the foundation of change leaders who excel at fostering a culture of continuous improvement and providing a supportive environment where teams can experiment, learn from failures, and grow together without fear of judgment. I can relate to Michael's background. Years ago, I had the amazing opportunity to enter the business agility consulting field with LeadingAgile, a true industry leader who has paved the way for fit-for-purpose organizational transformations. That experience has shaped the way I think about organizational transformation.

If you've been in this field long enough, you understand the unfortunate reality faced by many transformation leaders: 70% of transformation efforts fail to deliver the desired benefits, as highlighted in a recent report by McKinsey. But why is transformation necessary in the first place? It all boils down to the ever-changing landscape of volatile markets and evolving customer demands driven by digital technologies and globalization. Traditional organizations, originally designed for efficiency, are now at risk of being disrupted by smaller, more agile competitors.

So, what’s the proposed solution? Transforming their practices, behaviors, and performance to become more resilient, responsive, and value-oriented. Sounds promising, right? However, there’s a catch. Transformation is a complex endeavor, and often, stakeholders fail to grasp its magnitude, lack clarity about the current state, and are misaligned on the desired outcomes. This is where a comprehensive transformation measurement strategy can make a world of difference. By utilizing data and visualization, we can articulate the transformation, track progress, and ensure everyone is on the same page. Lean Agile Intelligence is the tool to help you with what you need to ensure your transformation is a success! With my shared background as a consultant at LeadingAgile, among other places, and my distinctive experience as a product manager, leading this product felt like an ideal fit for me and the team. I am incredibly grateful to Michael and the rest of the Lean Agile Intelligence team for choosing me for this opportunity.
